Kittens and then they become cats, a cuteness to watch becomes at some point an enduring friendship which can be said to be based on food and care and for sure somewhat is. A friendship based on choice certainly.
Because a kitten is a certain breed and adopted or sold for its physical characteristics does not make it more pure or more important, outside of the fact of being valued more and in many cases allowed closer.
A kitten becomes a cat and endures through the times of our life, it's there in many ways where we may need it's spirit as much as our friend needs our care.
Breeders are Guardians of a type of cat and their individual cats. Those cats touch our lives and motivate us towards a better understanding of others, and a curiosity about their spirits and ours. Care taken to safeguard the health of the breed and keeping the type recognizable or to enhance it are major undertakings which should be greatly appreciated.
Different cat owners show their appreciation in different ways. The health of the breed may lay in the hands of the breeder but the spirit of the friendship between cat and human lies firmly in the hands of each cat owner. Where it may never be possible to fully breed away from genetic or health issues or feed the perfect food and provide the perfect environment for cats, the generosity of spirit and ability to love cats is the key survival element of any breed, and the entire relationship between cats and humans.
There is no substitute for a loving caring cat owner. Life happens and does not happen by tidy rules. Despite breeding care or absence of it the care in the relationship between a cat and its person is by far the most important factor as to the value they are to each other. The best single thing I can do as a breeder is to place each kitten in a home where it will feel loved and where it's affection or personality will be appreciated. Even with all the care in the world from the breeder the cats life lies almost entirely in the hands of their person.
I do what I can to provide you with a healthy purebred kitten with a great chance at a great life, and want to place each kitten where I will feel comfortable they will live a life with someone who will care for them.
